Developing and Enhancing School Emergency Operations Plans Workshop
This workshop is an eight-hour training that walks participants through the best practices for school emergency management planning laid out by FEMA. The workshop covers a six-step planning process that enables schools to produce and update a comprehensive all-hazard emergency operations plan (EOP). Participants will discuss the collaborative planning process, potential planning partners within both the school system and the response community, the structure and functions of an all-hazard plan, and best practices for creating functional and hazard-specific annexes tailored to the unique needs of their schools.
This workshop is intended district or school administrators, principals, teachers, school psychologists, facilities managers, transportation managers, school resource officers, and community partners with roles in creating and maintaining school crisis plans and EOPs.
